Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away on Thursday at the age of 93 after his condition deteriorated over the last few days, following a 9-week-admission at AIIMS in New Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwart was one of the most respected and adored leaders in the country, and is likely to always be remembered, at the very least, as the first non-Congress PM to complete a full term and the man under whose leadership India became a full-fledged Nuclear state.

Political persons from across the spectrum, prominent personalities, foreign nations and people from all walks of life have been paying tribute since the former Prime Minister's demise and among those who have mourned the loss is Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher. An admirer of my Father's works and vice versa ; gentle nature, strong fiery in his speeches."
