Two days after the defeat of Loya Lobby following the Supreme Court dismissing all the petitions in the case, BJP President Amit Shah has broken his silence on the case and has said that he is being targeted.

“I have been at the receiving end of allegations in Sohrabuddin case, Ishrat Jahan and Loya case.  However, in all those case, after legal and judicial scrutiny, I have come out clean,” said Amit Shah.

When he was asked that why does he think he is being targeted, he said,

“I don’t know the reason as I never asked the Congress party the reason. Why are they doing these conspiracies, the media should ask these questions.”

Amit Shah also revealed his take on opposition not accepting the verdict of the Supreme Court on Judge BH Loya case.

"Even Earlier I had said that the Judge Loya case is baseless. But still allegations were hurled on me. The case went to Supreme Court which heard it for over 10 days. The three-judge bench then gave this decision. But still the opposition is not accepting it. You have to accept some point as the closure," he said.

The Supreme Court on Thursday had pronounced a unanimous judgment on the Justice Loya death case and dismissed all the petitions for lack of merit. The apex court said that there will be no independent probe in the case.

The petitions had challenged the "natural death" angle in the case. However, the Supreme Court observed,

"There is no shred of doubt that Justice Loya died of natural causes."

Justice DY Chandrachud while pronouncing the judgment had said that there is no reason to doubt statements of 4 judges. He said the judges were with Justice Loya at all times, omitting the scope of foul play. The Supreme Court also said that there is a need to discourage motivated petitions.
