The Congress continues to live in denial about Rahul Gandhi's and Priyanka Gandhi's business dealings with persons and entities who were being probed over scam allegations during the UPA regime.
The party's senior leaders continued to duck the question by using whataboutery thereby providing a clean chit to the Congress president
Here's what Congress leader and former Union Minister Kapil Sibal said:
"Ask the PM how is his name in the Birla Sahara diary, with his name mentioned against an amount of money? What happened to them? What happened to the scam in Madhya Pradesh and in Chhattisgarh when these diaries were recovered? What happened in Vyapam? You see the names are mentioned but the people are not being investigated because of Godi institutions. Why did you not bring the Lokpal? Because you did not have the commitment to eradicate corruption. You knew if you had brought it in the beginning of the term where you would have been by now. Corruption behind closed doors without an investigation is still corruption."
When Republic Media Network asked former Delhi CM and Congress leader Sheila Dikshit about the the Gandhi siblings business dealings with alleged UPA era scamsters, she evaded it completely.
Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad also reacted on Thursday to Republic Media Network's report. While addressing a media briefing, Azad deflected a question on the report by yet again bringing up the Rafale deal.
"The Congress leader does not do business dealings with anyone. Prime Minister and his President are the ones who do that, who take business leaders on flights and hold meetings with French ambassadors and give them deals worth Rs 30000 crore," he said.
Republic Media Network's newsbreak revealed in the business dealings between the Gandhi Vadra family and persons and entities accused in 2G scam and NSEL scam raising questions of propriety.
