One of the important days of ‘Modi 2.0’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to take his oath as the PM for the second time and announce his squad of ministers in the Union Cabinet. The swearing-in ceremony to be held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan is set to be a star-studded affair with celebrities from politics, sports, films and business expected to make an appearance. Earlier, many of them were seen on their way to Delhi, and now one of the guests, Jeetendra, has landed in the capital for the event. Calling himself as ‘ardent fan’ of the PM-elect, the veteran actor stated that the country is in ‘beautiful hands’ and that he is hopeful of seeing Modi as the PM till he is alive.
Speaking to reporters on arrival at the Delhi airport, Jeetendra said, “It’s a historical moment. I’m a big follower of Modiji, an ardent fan. I think the country is in very bautiful hands, I’m happy for my countrymen, happy for myself to be here today. Jai Mata Di!”
On Modi achieving an emphatic triumph second time around in the Lok Sabha elections, the ‘Himmatwala’ star, stated, “See, I’m going to live for a few years. And I’m extremely hopeful that till I’m alive, I’m going to see him only as the Prime Minister, no one else.”
The veteran also shrugged off talk about communalism in the country following Modi’s return to the PM chair, “Collective judgement of India is brilliant, they have showed it. Modiji was their collective judgement since they voted for him.”
Jeetendra’s daughter, star producer Ekta Kapoor had earlier revealed that the actor is the happiest after PM Modi's victory.
The duo is extremely close to their production’s house's former ‘bahu’ on ‘Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, Smriti Irani, MP-elect from Amethi, and she is expected to be one of the ministers of the ‘Modi 2.0 Cabinet.
