Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad reacted on Thursday to Republic Media Network's sensational report on dealings between Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi with persons and entities who were being probed over scam allegations during the UPA regime.

While addressing a media briefing, Azad deflected a question on the report by yet again bringing up the Rafale deal.

"The Congress leader does not do business dealings with anyone. Prime Minister and his President are ones who do that, who take business leaders on flights and hold meetings with French ambassadors and give them deals worth Rs 30000 crore," he said.

Republic Media Network's newsbreak revealed in two parts the business dealings between the Gandhi Vadra family and persons and entities accused in 2G scam and NSEL scam raising questions of propriety.

The first newsbreak raised questions over dealings between the current Congress president and one of the 2G scam's main-accused Sanjay Chandra and his company Unitech from the time that the scam was being probed.

The second newsbreak revealed through documents that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra Gandhi had conducted business transactions with one of Jignesh Shah's companies which involved a sprawling farmhouse owned jointly by the Gandhi siblings. Both Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra recieved 407% of declared property value as 'deposit' and an inordinate figure of monthly rent for their property by Shah's company.

Rahul Gandhi will be filing his nomination from Wayanad in Kerala on Thusrday, a seat he chose to fight apart from his family bastion in Amethi.

His opponent in Amethi, BJP leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani will begin her two-day campaign in the constituency.

Irani also spoke about Republic Media Network's newsbreak saying:

"Rahul must answer people of nation. It is not surprising that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are once again found with their hand in the cookie jar, specially found with economic relationships with 2G accused and various scamsters. Rahul Gandhi and the Congress needs to answer the entire nation that why is it that while the nation was being looted Rahul Gandhi chose to be mute spectator. Is it because his political support was bought by scamsters?
