Rahul Gandhi's admission in response to BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi's contempt plea in the Supreme Court, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has accused the Congress president of "distorting" the Court's proceedings.
He further took a personal jibe at the Gandhi scion saying that Rahul Gandhi is either 'unable' to comprehend or 'deliberately showering abuses'
He said, "Rahul Gandhi distorted the court proceeding order that the court has been validating what he has been saying. Today he has to express a regret, I don't think today even in the heat of the moment you can distorting the court's order. Therefore Rahul Gandhi is either no able to understand things or deliberately, conciously keeps on showering abuses."

Ravi Shankar Prasad commenting on the standard of the Congress party, called it their "new low" for abusing and concocting lies, moreover stated how there is an evident "Modi wave" in the country, which will give a befitting response to the party.
He said, "It is a new low as far as the standard of Congress is concerned. I have not to make any comment on the court proceedings, that is separate but to what extent would Rahul Gandhi stoop low? Showering abuses, fabricating lies again and again, therefore the people of the country are surely going to give him a fitting reply and as the current tempo of the country shows, there is a pronounced Modi wave."
"Pandering lies shows the utter desperation of Rahul Gandhi and I would advice him in desperation if you keep on again repeating lies, you are going down and down. Anyway, if Rahul Gandhi has chosen that particular strategy, good luck, what the seasoned Congress-men are doing?" the Union Minister added.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday responded to BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi's contempt plea in the Supreme Court admitting that he made the statements over the Rafale case in the “heat of political campaigning”.
