Expressing support for Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s daylong fast seeking special category status for the state, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said 'Prime Minister Modi is behaving in such a way as if he is the Prime Minister of Pakistan and not of India'.

"When someone is the Chief Minister he is the Chief Minister of the people of the entire state. When a person becomes the PM he is the PM of the nation and the people.. And PM Modi is behaving in such a way as if he is the PM of Pakistan and not of India."

Earlier in the day, a massive controversy broke out after derogatory posters which took a cheap slur at the humble origins of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared at the venue - AP Bhawan in New Delhi - where Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is sitting on a day-long dharna and fast.

The placard read:‘जिसके हाथ में चाय का झूठा कप देना था, उसके हाथ में जनता ने देश दे दिया’।, the one whose hand in which a used cup should have been given, in his hands the country has been given.

Up in arm against the opposition, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya posted a video of the placard which was placed in a symbolic way at a sacred looking spot.

However, TDP MP Jayadev Galla reacted to those posters seen at the venue of the ongoing protest said:

“We don’t endorse it. It is not correct and it should not be done. It must not have been put by our party people.”

The TDP chief is staging the ‘Dharma Porata Deeksha’ (a day-long protest for justice) at the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in the national capital from 8 am to 8 pm on Monday. He will also submit a memorandum to President of India Ram Nath Kovind on February 12.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi had also joined Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu’s hunger strike against the central government.

“The prime minister has stolen from the people from Andhra Pradesh and he has given that money to Anil Ambani. That is the fact of the matter,” Gandhi said at the venue of the hunger strike in Andhra Bhavan. The government and Ambani have rejected Gandhi’s allegations of corruption in the Rafale fighter jet deal with France.

“Mr Narendra Modi, wherever he goes, he goes to Andhra Pradesh, he lies about special status. He goes to the North-East, he tells another lie over there. He goes to Maharashtra and he tells another lie over there. He has absolutely got no credibility left,” Gandhi said.

Derek O'Brien addressing at TMC's 'Dharma Porata Deeksha', said:

"Chandrababu Naidu ji, I would like to congratulate TDP. We started this fight 4 years back but there is a very important date - July 20, 2018 - when TDP brought in 'No Confidence Motion' in Lok Sabha. This scared Modi".
