The #FitnessChallenge initiated by Union Minister of State (MoS) Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore spread like a wildfire. Usually politicians have a very serious image, so when Sports Minister tweeted a video of him working out, it came as a pleasant surprise for many. The initiative set a different tone and agenda that affects many people in India. The initiative was a fresh idea which was never done before on such a large scale.

Fitness is a buzz word today which forms a crucial part of life and who better than former Olympian Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathod can understand it. In his video, he was seen talking about the importance of physical fitness and how effortless it is to stay fit despite the hurly-burly of daily life. He further urged actor Hrithik Roshan, Captain Virat Kohli and badminton champion Saina Nehwal to share their fitness mantra.

Within no time fitness challenge took over the sports fraternity. From star football star Sunil Chhetri to Wrestler Babita Phogat, from all rounder Suresh Raina to boxer Mary kom, all contributed towards the campaign.

The Indian cricket captain, Virat Kohli accepted the challenge thrown at him and showed the world his favourite workout move. He then nominated Prime Minister Modi to complete the fitness challenge and guess what the Prime Minister said 'Challenge accepted, Virat!'.

This Challenge surely inspired Bollywood to showcase their fitness. Bollywood actors like Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, among others, too showed their enthusiasm, as they posted their workout videos and continued to tag others to keep the chain alive.

Not to be left behind were the politicians who made everyone spellbound. Leading from the front was Union Minister Kiran Rijiju and he showed the entire nation how he stays fit in the office and then he posted another video of him working out in the Gym. On the other hand, Jayant Sinha said he stays fit by doing the traditional surya namaskar. All the Union Minister set a stellar example for the Youth of the Country.

As the initiative spread all across India, Prime Minister Modi stayed true to his words and posted the video of his morning yoga schedule. Over the course of an almost 2-minute video, the Prime Minister showcased how he keeps himself fit and get inspired by the five elements of nature. He further nominated Karnataka's Cheif Minister HD Kumaraswamy. 

Hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi nominated HD Kumaraswamy's name for the fitness challenge, the Karnataka CM responded through a sarcastic tweet and said he felt honoured by PM's concern about his health. He then in politicised the fitness challenge and snubbed it.

Col Rajyavardhan Rathore said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a new idea of keeping India healthy and now this idea is changing the entire nation to stay fit and active.
