In a massive win for the security forces and for India, the terrorist and key conspirator of the horrific Pulwama Terror Attack, Sajjad Bhat whose vehicle was used by the JeM suicide bomber to carry out the attack on February 14, has been gunned down by the security forces on Tuesday in Anantnag.
Speaking over the victory of the forces, Republic Advisor and Army veteran, Major Gaurav Arya (Retired) said that this reminds the people of the sacrifices that the security forces have made for the nation.
Paying tribute to Major Ketan Sharma, who attained martyrdom in a gunfight between forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag on Monday, Major Gaurav Arya (Retd) called it a personal loss, remembering the time when the Patriot team shot with the 19 Rashtriya Rifles branch of the Indian Army. He also spoke about Major Rahul Sharma, who suffered serious injuries during the operations of the armed forces, adding that the perpetrators of terror attacks in India will be brought to justice by the forces.
"This reminds the nation of the tremendous sacrifices that the armed forces have done. Major Ketan Sharma is no more, he attained martyrdom yesterday. Major Rahul Sharma, he is seriously injured in the operations. Both of them are from the 19 Rashtriya Rifles. Team patriot has spent quite a lot of time with both these officers while we were shooting there. This is also a personal loss for us. This is to say that these operations will continue irrespective of the consequences. The people who have perpetrated these terror attacks upon India, including Pulwama, they will be brought to swift justice by the Indian army," Major Gaurav Arya said.
He further said that the Indian Army will not stop its operation until it wipes out the Jaish leadership from the Kashmir Valley, adding that the operation will go on 24/7.
"Indian Army is on the hunt and they will not stop until this menace is wiped out from Kashmir. They will not stop. These operations will go on 24/7. There is no stopping now. There is no stopping," Major Gaurav Arya said while speaking from the Kargil War memorial in Dras, J&K.
Sajjad Bhat, a resident of Bijbehara in south Kashmir, who was on the run since the Pulwama Terror attack had joined the JeM terror outfit, as NIA investigation.
Major Ketan Sharma was martyred on Tuesday in the encounter in the Achabal area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district. Army Chief General Bipin Rawat and all ranks paid their respect to the supreme sacrifice of Major Ketan Sharma and offered condolences to his family.
