Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh has warned Pakistan and its PM Imran Khan that act of violence will not tolerated by India, and if one security personnel is killed in the country, then the forces will gun down two of theirs.
Addressing a rally in his state, the Congress leader hammered Imran Khan and his government for not acknowledging that the perpetrators of Pulwama attack belonged to Pakistan, and lent support to the Indian government and forces for any action they wish to take against the terrorists.
"If even one of our jawans is martyred, we should kill 2 of theirs (Pakistan). This is the only language they will understand. We've already said that whatever steps government takes, we will support," he said.
Imran Khan and his government has denied any involvement in the attack and brazenly defended itself by saying that 'Naya Pakistan' is all about development, and not terrorism. But the Punjab CM exposed the neighboring country's lies with his remarks pertaining to JeM chief Masood Azhar.
"What more proof does he want? JeM chief Masood Azhar is sitting there (Pakistan). Will they accept when we show them bodies of the terrorists killed by our forces? So what kind of a statement is this? Whole world knows the truth," Amarinder Singh added.
His comments comes just hours after the statement issued by Pakistan PM Imran Khan, who instead of acknowledging that the terrorists belonged to Pakistan, tried to put the onus on the Indian authorities and demanded proof.
"How can India blame us without any evidence? Why will we do this when we are on the road of development? If they only have to blame Pakistan, then how can we move on? How we will resolve the Kashmir issue if they only blame Pakistan for every attack in Kashmir," the Pakistan PM said.
Earlier in the day, the Punjab CM had expressed similar sentiments as he dared Pakistan to arrest Masood Azhar - chief of the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad which was behind the Pulwama attack.
