A video of a local boy standing on a tractor on flooded roads of Patna has gone viral. In the video, he is seen taking a dig at the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar in the former Chief Minister of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav's style, for Kumar's failure in controlling the Patna floods. While mimicking Lalu, the local boy says, "For the last 15 years, Nitish Kumar is running double engine coalition govt with BJP, he must answer to the people of Patna for this condition. Whole Patna is flooded, people of Patna are asking why there are no proper arrangements made by his government? Nitish Kumar must speak up." After he finished, people standing surrounding him applauded the boy.
The unprecedented rain in Patna has cost the lives of more than 55 people. Even three days after the rain stopped water level in Patna is not receding which is now triggering fear of epidemic in the capital city which would be the next big challenge for the government. As the death toll continues to mount in Patna, Nitish Kumar cites climate change as the reason for disaster and his government is doing its bit to tackle the situation. When Nitish Kumar was confronted by a Republic reporter for his utter failure in dealing with the situation he lost his cool and said the reporter is sent here to create mischief.
Indian meteorological department issued a warning for heavy rainfall at some isolated places in Bihar including Patna. Last time IMD had issued a "red" warning but this time the national weather forecasting agency has issued a yellow warning, which is the main cause of worry for the people as well as for National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
At a time when the people of Patna are still struggling to get relief from waterlogged roads and Nitish Kumar running away from queries of media, leader of opposition and son of former chief minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav Tejaswi Yadav is missing in action. This attitude of Tejasvi Yadav has now irked the party workers of Rashtriya Janta Dal. Tejaswi Yadav is doing the criticism of Bihar Government on social media not on the roads of Patna. As per reports workers of RJD are now saying that Tejasvi Yadav's tweets on the failure of Nitish's Government are too little and too late, this kind of arrogant attitude of Lalu's son has harmed the party. Not only Tejasvi Yadav but senior party leaders were also missing in action.
Tejasvi Yadav was today spotted in Haryana's Rewari where he has gone to accompany his brother-in-law Chiranjeevi Rao who today filed his nomination as Congress candidate for the elections in Haryana slated to take place later this month.
