BJP President Amit Shah on Saturday declared that the Ram Temple will be constructed in Ayodhya while addressing a speech in Dehradun in Uttarakhand.
Incorporating the slogan 'Mandir Wahi Banega' in speech while assuring the BJP karyakartas, he added that the Congress has always been coming in the way of the efforts to construct the Ram Mandir.
"Now that the Kumbh is going on, it is natural that the issue of Ram Mandir arises in Kumbh. No karyakarta should be in any dilemma about the construction of the Ram Mandir. BJP stand is clear that Mandir Wahi Banega (Ram Mandir will be constructed there) at the earliest. This is our commitment.
Congress always comes in the way of the efforts on building the Mandir. Congress leader Kapil Sibal said that to the no Ram Mandir should be constructed till 2019.
I say with full confidence that Ram Mandir should be built there.
There is no verdict on the case and so much time has passed. Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas has asked for the return of the land. The case is that 67 acres which belongs to Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas should be given to them. To remove the status quo in the case we have filed a petition. But Congress' Abhishek Manu Singhvi opposed that too," he said.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had upped the ante in its efforts to build the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, with its general secretary Bhaiyaji Joshi on Friday saying that the existence of temple in Ayodhya will help the nation develop and prosper for at least 150 years while also stating that it shall be constructed by 2025..
After the RSS increased its pitch for construction of the Ram Mandir earlier on Friday, the VHP has backed the organisation.
At the present moment, the case pertaining to Ram Janmabhoomi is sub judice, with the Supreme Court to decide on January 29 regarding the schedule of the hearing of the case. While the BJP, who are in power at the Centre, has stated that it will wait for court's order before taking next step, the RSS is very clear about the temple.
