WATCH: Martyred Army Rifleman Aurangzeb's Father Slams Mehbooba Mufti Over Remarks Against Air India's 'Jai Hind' Order, Says She Is Spreading Venom Across Nation

Hours after PDP chief Mehboob Mufti politicised Air India's declaration telling its staff to say 'Jai Hind' after every announcement, martyred rifleman Aurangzeb's father Mohammad Hanief lashed out at the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister saying 'she is spreading venom around the country with her derogatory words against the nation'.

Speaking to Republic TV, Mohammad Hanief also asserted that being the citizens of India, people have the right to say 'Jai Hind' and also urged Mufti to do good deeds.

"Mehbooba Mufti must have said the right in her understanding. She did not say anything wrong prior to this. Did she say anything for the nation? Whatever words she utters.. are wrong. It is even written in our Constitution - our land is our mother. We are residents of India. We will shout the name of the nation where we eat, drink. Everything is from this land. When a person dies, he is buried in the same soil. Bharat Mata ki Salaam Kaho ya Jai Hind Kaho.. baat ek hi hai. Koi farak nhi h. Uski (Mufti) soch galat hai. Wo Hindustan ke andar zaher faila rahi h. (Whether you say 'Bharat Mata ki Salaam' or you say 'Jai Hind'- it is the same. There is no difference. Her thinking is wrong. She is spreading venom across the country)."

Further, attacking Pakistan over recent attacks on the Indian forces, he said that it is 'intolerable' that due to bombings innocent blood is spilled.

"Which Quran is Mehbooba Mufti? You get a seat after doing good deeds. You did not do any good deeds, you lost your seat. I don't want her to get the seat again. Do good deeds, leave bad actions. Does Pakistan not feel ashamed to trouble innocent people since 1965? It is intolerable that due to bombing by Pakistan innocent blood is spilled. This is wrong on Mehbooba Mufti's part. We are residents of India, it is up to us what we say. No one can stop people from saying Jai Hind," he added.

He later proudly said that his family is ready to sacrifice his life for the nation, adding that country is above all.

"My entire family has been working in the Army. I will also find a way to serve the nation. I want the rest of my family to serve the nation. The country is above all."
