Following the drama in Punjab Assembly where the Opposition Akali Dal leaders called for an 'Anti-Sidhu resolution', the Congress leader continued to stand firm on his stand, further ascertaining that it is the 'party's stand'

He said, "This is the voice of my soul, this is the voice of the country's soul. This is the stand of our party and I'm standing by it."

Pointing out the release of Masood Azhar in 1999 during the Kandahar Hijack, he said 'who would take responsibility for that'. He further cited that the masterminds of the Pulwama attack must be extradited and bought to justice.

He said, "The perpetrators who claimed responsibility for the act, who opened their handcuffs in 1999? Who released them I would like to ask. Whose responsible of that? Why did jawaans lose their lives? Why did the 1700 incidents increase? Why should there not be a permanent solution?"

"There is no compromise with terrorism, the terrorist should be crushed. Do we want the country to kneel down before terrorism? Do we want terroristo m shatter the country? Country's development is stop? Or the peace and calm to be destroyed? This is exactly what terrorists want. Whoever conducted this horrible attack, he should be brought to the country and should be punished in a way that it acts as a deterrent for generations. Generations should remember, they should be punished," he added.

Reiterating his pro-Pakistan stand, the Congress leader said that we must fight with the terrorists and with those who harbour them.

"You fight with the terrorists, you fight with those who harbour them, write to them, they need to be extradited. Terrorism has no religion, no community and so Navjot Singh Sidhu is firm on his stand."

A day after Navjot Singh Sidhu insisted on absolving India's western neighbour of its role and has continued to seek dialogue, Congress cabinet minister on Sunday has justified taking pro-Pakistan line saying that "I will stick to my comment". While addressing the media, the Congress leader said,"karta koi hai aur bharta koi aur (Someone else pays for else's deed)".

"I will stick with my comment. Whether it's today, tomorrow or any other day I will stick to my comment. I will stick to my comment that for the sake of few terrorists, we can't stop development. We will not bow down in front of terrorists. We have to kill terrorist motives. If we will do the development work, then only we will demolish their wrong motive. Crush them who targeted us. Terrorist have no nation, religion or caste.  I haven't said don't punish terrorists. Only punish those who are culprits. Someone else pays for else's deed. Don't target anyone else. What is the stand of my critics? I don't care about them. I am not answerable to them. I will answer to people of Punjab. Crush them through war to those who committed the crime but can't target everyone".
