Despite Mehbooba Mufti attempting to politicise Air India's rule for its crew to say "Jai Hind" after every flight announcement, Kashmiris have seen through her comment
and have said that they will proudly continue to chant 'Jai Hind'.

Republic Media Network's Syed Suhail spoke to residents of Nowshera who with staunch loyalty to the nation said that they will chant the patriotic slogan, adding that those who oppose it are free to leave for Pakistan.

One gentleman said, "I will say Jai Hind till my last breath, even if I have to sacrifice my life. I will chant it loudly. If they want to go to Pakistan they can go, but if she wants to stay in India she hmust sat Jai Hind"

Another middle-aged man fiercely defended the right to say 'Jai Hind'. He also spoke against Mufti for adopting political stand favouring her own party's circumstances.

"Whenever Mufti is in the government she has one stand and when she is not in the government she is with terrorists. If she has a problem saying Jai Hind she can leave for Pakistan with the terrorists," he said.

Many said that they have no problem saying 'Jai Hind' and one even said he will chant the slogan even if there is the threat of violence

"India is our country I will say Jai hind even if I am attacked," said the young man.

After Air India announced that the crew will have to say "Jai Hind" after every flight announcement "with much fervor", Mehbooba Mufti in a tweet has affixed this move with the General Elections.

In a tweet, the former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said that the 'josh of patriotism' has reached the skies ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The tweet read: Little surprise that with General Elections around the corner, the josh of patriotism hasn’t even spared the skies.
