WATCH: PM Modi Takes Holy Dip At The Kumbh, Performs Ganga Aarti, Then Pays A Touching Tribute To Sanitation Staff At Prayagraj

PM Modi on Sunday paid a visit to the Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj where amid much fanfare, he took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, following which he performed a Ganga aarti.

The Prime Minister arrived at Prayagraj from Gorakhpur, where earlier in the day he had launched the high-profile Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present with PM Modi throughout the events at both Gorakhpur as well at Prayagraj. Upon their arrival at the Kumbh, the Prime Minister swiftly proceeded to the designated spot where pandals had been put up highlighting his presence. 

He took his dip after offering prayers on the banks of the sacred Ganges. Upon completing his holy dip, the Prime Minister proceeded to a pandal where he performed the Ganga aarti, with UP CM Yogi Adityanath also joining in.

After completing the spiritual and religious undertakings that millions throng to the Kumbh mela for from around the world, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the sanitation staff whose efforts have led to the Kumbh mela being hailed from virtually all quarters for its organisation.
