Delhi Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal hoisted the National Flag in an event hosted at Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation for the fifth time from the ramparts of the Red Fort in Delhi. Prime Minister hailed the Indian Army, Women power and the citizens who have brought laurels for the country. He also listed the achievements of the country, filling the heart of the Nation surge with pride. 

"My best wishes to you on the 72nd Independence Day. The country is filled with immense confidence, it is scaling new heights. This year, in the Nilgiris, the flower is blooming just like the Ashoka Chakra in the flag"
