WATCH: Raksha Mantri Nirmala Sitharaman gets into a border bunker by the sea, with water-level viewing window
Raksha Mantri Nirmala Sitharaman recently on a two-day visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) on January 13-14. In between her review of the area, the Raksha Mantri got the opportunity to get into a bunker of the Indian Navy located by the sea.

Raksha Mantri Nirmala Sitharaman recently on a two-day visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) on January 13-14. On Monday, the Raksha Mantri visited the Campbell Bay in the Great Nicobar and reviewed the operational readiness of the Command. During her overhaul, Nirmala Sitharaman explored the jungle survival drills, jointness among the Forces and shared conversation with the veterans.
In between her review of the area, the Raksha Mantri got the opportunity to get into a bunker of the Indian Navy located by the sea. She took to social media to share some pictures of her visit to the bunker wherein she also revealed that the bunker was located underwater with the viewing window at the water level.
Praising the defence forces, the Raksha Mantri wrote, "Constant vigil to secure the borders- tropical hot and humid conditions'.

Furthermore, Raksha Mantri witnessed all four components working together during an amphibious demonstration. The exercise was conducted near the Campbell Bay which included 10 ships, 6 aircrafts and 700 troops of the Command. The Marine Commando (MARCO) unit of Indian Navy and specialist platoon (GHATAK) of Indian Army displayed their operational capabilities by carrying out helocasting, and beach assault.
