WATCH: Sadananda Gowda Confirms Receiving A Call From BJP Chief Amit Shah For Oath-taking At Rashtrapati Bhavan. Here's What He Said

After weaving a historic victory of the NDA by securing a massive mandate of 353 Lok Sabha seats in 2019, eyes are now intact on the Cabinet composition of the new government, as PM Narendra Modi takes oath along with 40 Ministers on May 30. 

While names have started emerging, BJP's D V Sadananda Gowda told ANI that he received a call from BJP president Amit Shah and has been invited to the Prime Minister's office at 5 PM on Thursday. 

He said, "I received a call from Amit Shah. He said that I should be there at the home office of the Prime Minister at 5 o'clock and swearing-in ceremony at 7 o'clock. At 5 o'clock PM will have tea with cabinet and other ministerial colleagues, and then we'll go to Rashtrapati Bhavan to take the oath."

Union Minister and former Karnataka CM Gowda retained his North Bengaluru seat by a margin of 1,46,100 votes against rival Krishna Byre Gowda of Congress-JD(S) alliance, to be a Member of Parliament for the fourth time.

A highest ever 8,000 guests, including VVIPs, will be attending the oath-taking ceremony of PM Modi and his council of Ministers that will be held at the forecourt — the stately path between the main gates and the main building in the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The swearing-in ceremony will be of about 90 minutes and after that, a dinner will be served to around 40 dignitaries, including Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and the prime minister, besides leaders of all BIMSTEC countries, Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson Ashok Malik said on Wednesday.

The who's who of the country from sports legends Rahul Dravid and Saina Nehwal to movie superstars Rajinikanth and Shah Rukh Khan have been invited to the swearing-in ceremony. Besides Ambani, Adani, and Tata, business honchos Ajay Piramal, John Chambers, and Bill Gates have also been an extended invitation for Modi's swearing-in.

The President will be hosting dinner for about 40 guests, wherein one of the key dishes 'Dal Raisina' will be served in the dinner, which is a specialty of Rashtrapati Bhavan's kitchen, is cooked for about 48 hours. Its main ingredients are brought from Lucknow.
