Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Naveed Jatt, who is also one of the accused in journalist Shujaat Bukhari's assassination, was caught on camera near Jammu-Srinagar highway. In a video accessed by Republic TV, Naveed Jatt is seen roaming around on the Highway with a motive to challenge security forces. The Security forces have initiated a manhunt to nab Naveed Jatt. A high alert has been issued in the state of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Independence Day celebration.
Earlier, Naveed Jatt escaped from police custody while he was being taken to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital for a medical examination. Two policemen were killed in a shootout at the hospital. He also made a dramatic appearance at the funeral of a terrorist who was killed in a gun battle with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
Earlier, after an unrelenting crackdown in South Kashmir's Shopian by Indian Army, Republic TV has accessed a confessional video of a Hizbul Terrorist Tariq Moulvi who was speaking at the funeral of Hizbul Commander Umar Khubaib. Umar was one of the five terrorists neutralised by forces in South Kashmir's Shopian. In the video, Tariq Moulvi is seen begging the Kashmiri locals not to secretly reveal the location of terrorists in Kashmir.
"Leave all those things. We face such difficulty in recruting even one boy. We have to run from pillars to post. What is the reason for this? Those Mujahids who had created their own field, location and routes, now we don't let them stay on this land anymore. Tell us, what bad things are we doing? From tomorrow onwards we won't do those bad things. we will quit tomorrow. if picking this gun is wrong, if terrorism is wrong, if this is a bad thing, we will quit it. we will leave it here", he said.
Is it only on our shoulders to fight for aazadi? So let us just quit. We will leave everything open, you all can then move on the path of Allah. Why are you doing such bad things? You only tell me, the extent of damage suffered by Shopian hasn't been suffered by any other district. I don't think even in Pakistan they suffer such level of damages. Every Mujahid who had 3-4 years experience on the field, all those senior Mujahids are no longer there. All left are those poor untrained like me. why are you doing such bad things/ give me an answer, please? Why are we doing such bad things?" he added.
