Union Minister for State for Health Minister Ashwani Kumar Choubey evaded the media on the issues of the deaths of children in Bihar due to encephalitis on Saturday.

Choubey was literally chased by the media who asked him who was responsible for the deaths of the children owing to encephalitis.

Choubey made quick strides, walking away and evading questions from the media for close to a minute as a volley of questions were thrown at him by them. 

He folded his hands and replied to the questions with a 'sorry' and walked away until the reporters stopped following him.

This is not the first time Choubey had a difficult time with the media.

On Sunday, June 16, during a media briefing held along with Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, he lashed out at a journalist for making personal accusation''.

Choubey who is from Bihar had celebrated his party BJP's Lok Sabha victory than visiting the state even as the number of deaths increased owing to encephalitis and had reached 80. When a journalist asked him about his conduct, he lost his cool and displayed shocking high-handedness.

He angrily responded and avoided answering the question. He said that journalist was trivialising the serious issue in the state adding that he should not make such personal accusation.

On June 22, after Republic TV exposed the skeletal remains in the Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital, Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey too evaded questions by media. 

In the video, Mangal Pandey can be seen walking quietly after leaving the venue of the meeting by the BJP delegation regarding the Encephalitis deaths in the state. He walks to his vehicle without responding to the questions by reporters. 

Deputy CM Sushil Modi also displayed highhandedness when asked about the Encephalitis outbreak by the media and asked reporters to 'leave the press conference if they want to ask about the death of the children'.
