A terrorist was caught on tape while he was roaming around in the streets of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday evening. Republic TV has accessed the CCTV footage in which the terrorist is seen walking near the Police Control room in the heart of the city. Even before the police could raise alarm, the terrorist managed to flee the spot. The police is on an over-drive to nab the terrorist.
Earlier, a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Naveed Jatt, who is also one of the accused in journalist Shujaat Bukhari's assassination, was caught on camera near Jammu-Srinagar highway. In a video accessed by Republic TV, Naveed Jatt was seen roaming around on the Highway with a motive to challenge security forces. The Security forces initiated a manhunt to nab Naveed Jatt. A high alert was issued in the state of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Independence Day celebration.
Prior to that, Naveed Jatt escaped from police custody while he was being taken to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital for a medical examination. Two policemen were killed in a shootout at the hospital. He also made a dramatic appearance at the funeral of a terrorist who was killed in a gun battle with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
Earlier, after an unrelenting crackdown in South Kashmir's Shopian by Indian Army, Republic TV had accessed a confessional video of a Hizbul Terrorist Tariq Moulvi who was speaking at the funeral of Hizbul Commander Umar Khubaib. Umar was one of the five terrorists neutralised by forces in South Kashmir's Shopian. In the video, Tariq Moulvi was seen begging the Kashmiri locals not to secretly reveal the location of terrorists in Kashmir.
"Leave all those things. We face such difficulty in recruting even one boy. We have to run from pillars to post. What is the reason for this? Those Mujahids who had created their own field, location and routes, now we don't let them stay on this land anymore. Tell us, what bad things are we doing? From tomorrow onwards we won't do those bad things. we will quit tomorrow. if picking this gun is wrong, if terrorism is wrong, if this is a bad thing, we will quit it. we will leave it here", he said.
