WATCH: Union Minister Rajnath Singh's Speaks On Strengthening Forces And Giving A Befitting Reply To Pakistan On Nation Wants To Know

Written By Daamini Sharma | Mumbai | Published:

Watch Union Minister Rajnath Singh's spoke about strengthening forces and giving a befitting reply to Pakistan in his first-ever interview after the ghastly Pulwama attack with Arnab Goswami on Nation Wants To Know. Here's the full text of the interview:

Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief: Rajnath ji, this is your first interview with republic Bharat. Thank you so much. Most importantly, this interview comes a week after the Pulwama terror attack. One week ago when you shouldered coffins of crpf martyrs, the entire nation got emotional after seeing those pictures. What were you going through during that moment?

Rajnath Singh, Union home minister: that feeling cannot be expressed in words. And even today I won't be able to express that feeling in words. I believe I can't talk more about it.

Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief: when were you informed about the Pulwama terror attack? Tell me about that day.

Rajnath Singh, Union home minister: that day I was in Lucknow. I was boarding the flight and it just took off, during those moments the unfortunate incident happened. When the plane landed, I saw I had a missed call from dib. Our AFP told me I have received a missed call, I asked him to call immediately. As soon as I landed, I had a word with them. Then whatever was to be done from our side and from their side, we did.   I  gave them further instructions. I asked my officials to cancel all the political events and I told them I will be going to srinagar.

Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief: After that, you tweeted that 'sacrifice won't go in vain'

Rajnath Singh, Union home minister: Yes.

Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief: it means that the sacrifice made by them (CRPF jawans) won't go in vain

Rajnath Singh, Union home minister: today too, I will repeat the same. With firm conviction that the sacrifice made by our brave crpf soldiers won't go in vain.

Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief: what does that mean? All the people..

Rajnath Singh, Union home minister: we will do whatever it takes, whether strategically, diplomatically. Politically or constitutionally, whatever steps are needed, action will be taken.

Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief: did you think that revenge is the only option? The sacrifice won't go in vain, from past one week people have been asking the exact meaning of that sentence, rajnath ji. What does it mean? What will happen? Will revenge be taken? Will revenge be taken or not? Just tell me about it.

Rajnath Singh, Union home minister: I believe this doesn't need to be clarified. The people of this country can understand this quite well. The sacrifice of the martyrs won't go in vain, the people of the country can understand this quite well. This doesn't need to be clarified. It is sufficient in itself. The message in this sentence is pretty clear to the people. The people of this country are quite aware.

Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief: I am not asking about your plan, rajnath ji. What will you do. I am aware that the details cannot be revealed on television, it shouldn't be asked and you won't even elaborate. I am not asking about it. But in your first response, the word you used was 'revenge' the day the attack happened and I am reading your tweet 'the country is united and is ready to give an appropriate answer to this attack'. I agree with you that the country is united to give an answer. There is no doubt about it. But india is asking rajnath ji, how long will it take? How will it happen? When will it happen? I definitely want to ask few questions on it. First is, how and when?

Rajnath Singh, Union home minister: you must have seen, prime minister stated that pakistan has made a huge mistake. He even stated that the sacrifice of our soldiers won't go in vain. Even our prime minister has stated this. I have already told you, whatever steps are needed to be taken. Whether strategic, diplomatic, political or constitutional, we will take those steps.

Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief: you mentioned political, diplomatic, constitutional,  but you didn't mention military.

Rajnath Singh, Union home minister: I don't think, there is even a need to mention it. Everything is included in it. We don't segregate it, it's included.

Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief: military option is included?

Rajnath Singh, Union home minister: everything is included

Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief: military option is also being thought about. You must have thought about it?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: whatever is our thought about it....

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: because I don't believe pakistan will understand through a dialogue.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I wouldn't like to say anything more. Whatever I wanted to say, I have said it.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: rajnath ji, it's been eight nine days since jaish e mohammed killed our soldiers. Lt general dhillon in the press conference said that jaish e mohammed is a pakistani army's child.  He said jaish e mohammed is being controlled by the pakistan army. It's being controlled by the isi. The question is very simple - not just me, the entire nation wants to know that how resolute is the government to take an action against pakistan? How firm is the government to take revenge?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I don't understand, why is this question being asked again and again? Because the prime minister on the first day said it, he made it clear in two sentences that the indian army has been given a free hand to take an action. Whenever they want, whenever they feel necessary, they have the freedom. What else  is left to say?

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: nothing else. But the people want to know about the determination. From past eight days rajnath ji, from the past eight days people have been asking questions, programs are being organised, people have questions, I am not asking, everybody is coming together. From hyderabad to delhi, whether you visit a small stall or a super market, everybody has the same question, when and how will revenge be taken? How determined is the government. I am asking you the same question again and again because people want to know how determined are you? Could you elaborate on that? Whatever your limitations are.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I don't think people want to know about it. Because they know, under pm modi's leadership, the government is resolute. This government is determined. And this government delivers on what it  promises. People of this country believe in their prime minister. It's a weak government, it's not a  government that needs to make any clarifications about how and what will happen, it isn't needed. People have full faith in the prime minister. You must have seen a recent survey, it had a  rating which showed that even today around 88 to 89 per cent of people have immense faith on our prime minister. It's a huge thing. I don't think it's even needed to be questioned. This government's determination cannot be questioned.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: few days ago, imran khan  gave a televised statement.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I watched that.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: you saw that? What do you think about it? The body language? What he said? What do you think?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: nothing.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: what does 'nothing' mean?

Rajnath singh, union home minister:- I didn't even try to dissect any meaning out of it. It was not necessary at all. It wasn't even necessary to take it seriously or to even think about his statement. He didn't even give condole the death of our , why should we listen to him?

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: but, he said he's ready to have a dialogue on terrorism.

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  no, the time for talks is over

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: will you please elaborate on that? You said the time for talks is over

Rajnath singh, union home minister: you are aware that I don't eleaborate on anything. I like to keept it short and crisp.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: does it mean, the time is up for pakistan? In a way its a response to whatever imran khan said, whatever imran khan said on television, people said that he was crying. He was begging for forgiveness, he was begging to avoid a strike. He has raised questions on the attack, he asked how will an attack even help pakistan? He said, that he has heard from the indian media and from indians that revenge should be taken. He asked how will a strike help? How will targeting pakistan help?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: you must have seen, in that five minute statement he did not express any concern regarding the attack in pulwama, nor did he express any concern towards our martyrs, he didn't even express any condolences. What should we say about it?

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: do you think he was trying to buy time? It was a time buying tactic? He knew the whole of india is angry, it was a tactic to manage it. He knew international pressure is building up.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: he must be aware that the entire international community is united against terrorism. At the international level, most countries believe that pakistan provides shelter to terrorists.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: last night it was a big win for us at the united nation security council.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: it was a huge win.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: it was a huge win.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: it was a huge win.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: the whole world was united to stand with india after the pulwama terror attack.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: you must have seen the pact, even china has signed the pact.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: what does it mean?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: the entire international community is united against terrorism.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: but when time comes

Rajnath singh, union home minister: that's why I said, it's time we need to fight against terrorism decisively and a decisive battle will happen

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: wasn't the surgical strike a decisive fight? A decisive battle?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: a decisive battle, surgical strike (pauses) we do not entirely consider surgical strike a decisive battle. I said a decisive battle should be fought against terrorism.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: pakistan is giving refuge to terrorism. Pakistan is breeding ground for terror. All the terror camps are in pakistan. The decisive battle should be fought against pakistan. And it should be fought inside pakistan.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: isn't it possible that even pakistan might become helpless?. We cannot rule out this scenario. If it doesn't happen, then we have to bear the consequences.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  compelled against what?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: to fight against terrorism, they should take the decision to not to provide refuge to terrorism. They shouldn't provide shelter to terrorists.  They shouldn't let any  terror camps to operate from there. They should give their word for it.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  they have said it several times.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: when? When did they say it?

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  musharraf said it, nawaz sharif has said it. Rajnath ji, whenever india builds pressure on pakistan, they even spoke after 26/11 but pakistan never understood, it's like 'a wolf in sheep's clothing'.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: if they don't change themselves then we'll see what to do. They have to change themselves.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  I want to ask you about decisive battle. You said you don't talk in detail. Look, you have to talk about it in detail.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: those who talk loudly, they are unable to do anything. So I believe whatever you need to say, whatever message you want to give, it should be given in two or three lines.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  what are your options? Look, I take you very seriously, I know you from the past 20 years. You speak each and every word carefully. Every tweet, every sentence is taken seriously. So that's why it's really difficult to interview you because you get silent all the time. But this is my job and I have to do it. Because the emotions of the country, if I don't ask you who else will I question? You said the fight against terror will continue, today the whole world is uneasy. Uneasy because they are wondering what will be our response? Will you guarantee revenge? Will you answer the family members of crpf jawans, revenge that wasn't taken earlier, will that be taken this time?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: whatever I told you earlier, what our prime minister said in a few words that the sacrifice of our brave soldiers won't go in vain. One sentence is sufficient in itself. Whatever the plan is, how will it happen, there is no need to elaborate on it.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  look, jaish e mohammed, rajnath ji, the attack was on our forces. A direct attempt to demoralise our soldiers, to target them. A direct attempt to attack our country. It was an attack on our country. There can only be a military response to this.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I understand the sentiments of people of this country. This government is not a weak government, it won't let the country down.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  imran khan gave a statement and took two steps after that. First, he said that he will ban jud and secondly he said he won't let terrorism continue from the pak soil, everytime he says so and I know where you stand on this but, I want you to  give an answer to the people of pakistan and to imran khan, in your own language. They are taking such steps to mislead india, what is your say on that?

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  we want all terrorist groups and their hideouts to be shut down by pakistan and if pakistan thinks it doesn't have that strength or power to wipe out terrorism from it's own soil, india is ready to do it, if they want us to do it for them. If pakistan was seriously against terrorism, we are pakistan's neighbour, they could've told us they aren't equipped to fight terrorism andthey want us to do it for them, india would've done it . But. Contrary to it pakistan is breeding terrorism on it's own soil and from there  terrorists are infilterating into india and trying to destabalise our country, this won't work.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  they say, give us the proof.

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  all the proof against terror was given to them many times, what is necessity of proof now? Many a times evidences have been given to them. 26/11, the attack in mumbai, what did pakistan do? This means they are not honest about their intent

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  so are we going to give them a deadline? Just asking, the deadline of a month or two to shutdown all terror activities from their soil

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  no, nothing like that

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  can we expect anything from them? They've not done anything in the last 25, 30 and 40 years, can we still expect them to do something? Do you have any expectation?

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  no, I don't have any expectation personally. But, maybe in future there might be a situation in which they will be compelled to do things completely opposite to what the are doing right now.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  what situations? You're trying to tell me something here. Financial situation? Because all the major countries of the world have come together. Because, yesterday's win at the unsc was really a big one and I know that, even I was surprised to see china's name there, because we know what kind of links china with them, if there is one country that can put some real pressure on pakistan, it's china, because financially and in many other aspects pakistan is completely dependent on china

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  even you would have seen china signed the resolution.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: yesterday, their attitude changed completely

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  there was a complete change in china's attitude. Also, no nation in this world can justify terrorism, but pakistan doesn't understand that.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: firstly, things are symbolic. And I think, the steps taken by your government are very good steps, you imposed 200% tax on imports from pakistan, withdrew the most favoured nation's status and you stopped flow of river ravi's water to pakistan.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: if you remember, I told this earlier as well about the indus water treaty.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  don't mind me saying this, can I tell you something? My job is to put forth questions of the people before the government. People feel govt shouldn't stop at imposing 200% tax on pak imports and shouldn't stop at just blocking water, people feel pakistan should be boycotted completely, our network's campaign is a call for complete boycott of pakistan. No salt, no sugar, no cotton and no cement from pakistan, what will happen with just increasing taxes? We have to completely boycott pakistan.

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  we are moving ahead step by step, will you accept that or not?

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  yes, I do accept that

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  you do accept, so now just wait for some time.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  the people who come from pakistan, the artists from pakistan, some people say that there should be people to people contact between india and pakistan, so I want to ask you what is this people to people contact? What is the necessity to screen our films in karachi?

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  since partition, there have been talks about people to people contact, who has stopped it? It is pakistan. Who attacked india several times? It was pakistan.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  and do you think there should be people to people contact?

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  no, what is the purpose of people to people contact now?  I can't understand the meaning of people to people contact, can someone please elaborate on it?

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  shall I elaborate on it?

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  yes, please

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  here our soldiers are laying down there lives, you are shouldering coffins of martyrs and at the same time there is cricket, they are saying india and pakistan should play crickt, a lot of money is riding on these games, if we don't play with pakistan, bcci will lose a lot of money.

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  no cricket should be played, this is my personal view, no matter how big the losses are, there shouldn't be any cricket with pakistan.  This is my personal opinion.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: I was conducting a show day before yesterday, rajnath ji, I asked audience that 26 thousand tickets have been sold for june 19th match between  india & pakistan in london. I said if any patriot has bought ticket for that match, he should burn that ticket.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I think there would have been a positive response through out

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: there was 100% positive response. Can cricket board say that if government asks us to ban then we will ban. Then I asked why should the government have to ask

Rajnath singh, union home minister: this decision should be taken by the board. If they have said this then it is unfortunate. This decision has to be taken by board.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: I am thankful that you said this because if they aren't told such things directly then the cricket board doesn't understand. I think, the cricket match between india and pakistan should not happen.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: even I think so. After pulwama attack I dont think there should be even a question about cricket match.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: I believe this as well. People from bollywood should say that they will not distribute their films in pakistan. I have heard this as well that on every film they get 3 to 8 crore from pakistan.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I would like to appreciate the approach of bollywood after pulwama attack.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: but they should stop distributing the films.

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  they have said.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: no, they have not said yet.

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  they have not said?

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: no. I want them to say it. What do you think, do we need to show our films in karachi and rawalpindi.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: about films, I don't have much knowledge so I won't say much.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: you and our pm said.....

Rajnath singh, union home minister: we said that there is no permission for pakistani artists to come..

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: I think pakistani artists should not come.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: this I have heard and I liked this. This has been told by film industry.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: there are a few associations of film industry who said that now they won't. Even I accept, that it is a good step.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I liked this.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: rajnath ji, I am asking questions again and again, it should not be wasted . You said this yesterday, 'I am very sure and I want to assure you that when the time will come people's sentiments, desire and expectations will be fulfilled'. I ask this again, expectation is that we would thrash pakistan.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: whatever I had to say, I said. And beyond this I don't want to say.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: will you give me one assurance?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: what?

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: just one assurance?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I told this earlier that we understand people's sentiments.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: just give one assurance, not to me but to the people of india....

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I don't give assurance during election campaigns as well. You should know this, I never assure people that if I win, I will do this and that. I appeal to the voters to give me strength so that after becoming an mp, I would live up to the expectations.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: rajnath ji, I accept whatever you are saying. I know this and our viewers also know that you are a person who walks the talk and would never speak about what you never do. I don't want assurance. But the government has taken an oath  in front of public that you will take revenge. Can you tell them that they should not wait for long? Today, we see our tv programmes that people's anger has peaked, they are restless to know when pakistan would be pressurised, when would they kneel in front of us and ask for forgiveness. They are waiting for a very long time. They have been waiting for around 20-25 years, zia-ul-haq said that bleed india with a thousand cuts, till when shall we wait to hit back?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I just want to say this that indian citizens know that the central government is not weak, it is a very powerful and strong government. And the pm of this country is also very strong. This country's pm is not like the one who will only talk but not act. Indian poeple have faith in our pm.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: indeed, they trust and they should as well. Imran khan has said this 3 days ago that we are listening from indian politicians that india should teach a lesson to pakistan, to attack pakistan, should take revenge and then he said that pakistan would retaliate. Just see their guts, they said pakistan would retaliate. What is your response on this statement? Is this that they are responding out of fear?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: our external affair ministry has responded to this, you would have seen. As mea has responded,I don't think I need to say more

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: rajnath ji, today situation is little bit different. The day there was an attack here, at the same time, iran was attacked too, 27 soldiers of iran revolutionary guards were killed. After that major general mohammed ali jafari said that pakistan will no doubt have to pay high price. There is anger in iran. Secondly, the foriegn ministry of afghanistan called the ambassdor of pakistan and said that whatever happened in pulwama will not be tolerated. People are saying that the three countries, india, iran and afghanistan who are geographically close to pakistan can cover it. Then why aren't we doing multilateral action. Why don't we block pakistan?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I told you, have faith on whatever our pm has said. Nobody can speak about what will he do, when will he do or how will he do it.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: if any action is taken, the entire world would stand beside us, be it any military conflict or any attack since it would be defensive from our side because we were attcaked. Do you think the countries who took resolution under un security council would stand with us if we take any stand?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: you tell me, what could be the bigger diplomatic victory than this that entire world is standing united on the same platform? This is a huge success of our pm.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: the people of our country has immense anger that they think whoever is supporting pakistan is unpatriotic. You withdrew the security rajnath ji....

Rajnath singh, union home minister: you must have seen I went to srinagar recently to pay my respects to the martyrs, at that time only I made this decision. Those who get money from pakistan  and strategize with pakistan shouldn't have any security cover and government there is removing the security  of such people. But, I would like to tell this, this separatism wont work, we won't let it go on.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  but, it was going on

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  it won't go on

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  but, it was going on for such a long time

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  separatism won't go on for long in pakistan, I am telling you, it won't go on.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: but, it is going on. In that thirty by thirty square feet space, it is still going on in kashmir.

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  let's see what happens

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  but, it's really a good thing that you said that
Separatism won't go on for long and your government also cut the channel of financial help they were getting through havala.

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  kashmir was ours and always will be ours and no nation in the world can change that.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: security cover has been pulled back for 155 people, why now? On what criteria has the security been removed?

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  this is a state government issue, they decide the renewal on security. I had a thought that some people shouldn't be given security and said the same in a press conference in j&k and the state government is removing it and the state government could only answer whose security has been removed and why it has been removed, I don't have an answer for that.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  the people feel that those who sing praises of pakistan shouln't get the security at all.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: - in that case we should all welcome the decision made by the state government.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  did you listen what the former cm of your government in j&k said? She say's that this is the new pakistan and imran khan should be given a chance, why does she say such things?

Rajnath- this can be only answered by her

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  she says pakistan deserves a chance as imran has recently taken over, why is she asking for a chance for pakistan?

Rajnath- ever since 1947, we are giving them chances

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  don't you think such statements give more courage to the radicalised elements in j&k? You've had governemt with mehbooba mufti for three years.

Rajnath- which prime minister is she asking a chance for? For the one who didn't even give his condolences for the martyrs of pulwama? The one who didn't event condemn that attack? She's asking chance for him, what's the sense?

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: sir, today 130 crore indians are together asking for revenge. And mehbooba say's that whoever asks for revenge is illiterate. We asked her that are the 130 crore indians illiterate? Why are such statements being made? Don't you think there is a buildup? Two days befor the attack these were the same people asking for remains of afzal guru to be shifted from tihar jail to srinagar, why are they making such statements?

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  I don't think these people understand the emotions of the country, they should.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  rajnath ji, congress made a statement in their official press conference, 'so called terrorists' and they also mentioned home grown, they said the origin of the terrorism is in india.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: sad. Terrorist is terrorist, they aren't so called. The birth of terrorism is on the land of pakistan, they are getting shelter in pakistan.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief:  you had an all party meeting with them. After that why this kind of statement?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: ask this question to them only. They will only answer.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: I want to ask one more question rajnath ji, in one magazine, one article was published and in that article all the 40 matyrs of our country are being analysed by caste.

Rajnath singh, union home minister: very sad. I condemn this approach.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: there is an attempt at communalisation. People are targeting our prime minister. Yesterday, they asked, pm was eating samosa, he was doing promotions, he is doing politics. All these things are being said in press conference after all party meeting. Now, the situation we have is first, election is coming and on the other side there is pulwama attack. Why is it being politicised? It is happening.

Rajnath singh, union home minister:  it should not happen. Whichever party is politicising should not do. Politics is not only to form government, for election, but also for nation building. What else can be more unfortunate than this that politics is happening on matrys.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: rajnath ji, whole country is with you. This is my last question to you, please answer in detail. I won't ask what action would you take because even you are patriot and so am I. We won't want to know the details of what army could do , this should be an element of surprise. But people would get to know after looking at your sentiments. During 26/11, you were not in government, you were in opposition. You should have thought that if it would have been your government you would have done something else. Today you have the chance. Anger is same what it was after 26/11. Do you think in your political career, for the government and for this country it is the biggest opportunity to finish this war?

Rajnath singh, union home minister: I told that the time has come that we should fight against terrorism. This I have said before. I guess after saying this it is not necessary to ask this question.

Arnab goswami, editor-in-chief: rajnath ji, whatever action you take, I am sure it would be well thought of and india will win. Thank you

Rajnath singh, union home minister: thank you so much.
