After Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav's uncle Ram Gopal Yadav said that the Pulwama terror attack was a conspiracy, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday slammed the politician.
Ram Gopal Yadav had said:
"The paramilitary forces are unhappy with the government, they killed the jawans for votes. There was no checking between Jammu and Kashmir, the CRPF jawans were simply sent in buses. This is a conspiracy when the government will change this will be investigated. That's when the big people will be stuck."
Hitting out at the Samajwadi Party leader, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister said,
"He should apologize to the nation for this. This is a conspiracy to break the morale of the forces. These kinds of statements help the terrorists. Everyone knows that our forces killed those behind the Pulwama attack within 48 hours of the incident.
"The results of the Modi government's zero-tolerance policy for terrorism is evident in the last 4-1/2 years. In the first surgical strike, those behind the Uri strike were killed, in the second strike, the backs of the terrorists were broken. The terrorists' plans were unmasked. We have given a good fight to the terrorists. Our forces have ensured our citizens' security and safety. The world realised the capability of the Indian forces after it conducted the air strikes.
"This is the same Samajwadi Party during whose rule in UP there were at least 1,000 horrific riots in 2012-2017. The government when it came to power in the state also took back the terror cases against the accused. We all know where the votebank appeasement politics by these leaders will lead us in terms of security and administration.
"The worst example of appeasement politics is by Ram Gopal Yadav who questioned the martydrom by the CRPF and broke morale of the country. He must apologise to the nation."
