Watch: Vijay Mallya Speaks To Reporters Ahead Of Hearing At Westminster Court

Ahead of the hearing at the Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday, liquor baron Vijay Mallya addressed the questions of the reporters outside the court.

"Whatever the judgement will be, my legal team will review the judgement if required. I have tweeted about the settlement, but that has nothing to do with this extradition. The assets have been attached and these assets are enough to repay the sum," Vijay Mallya

"I have offered to make 100% repayment on debts taken, nobody disrespects the law by making a bogus offer. I want to change the narrative that I stole money. Assets have been attached by authorities, they aren't bogus assets. My offer is not bogus, the ED has attached my assets already which are good to pay off the offer I have made. Thats what I am focusing on," Mallya added.

The UK court is going to pronounce the verdict on his extradition to India.

Earlier on Monday, sources at the Arthur Road jail, Mumbai told Republic TV that there is a special barrack for prepared for Vijay Mallya.

"He will not get any VVIP treatment and will be treated as any other prisoner."

The 62-year-old former Kingfisher Airlines boss has been on bail since his arrest on an extradition warrant in April last year. He has contested his extradition on the grounds that the case against him is "politically motivated" and the loans he has been accused of defrauding on were sought to keep his now-defunct airline afloat.
