The Mid-day meal workers in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore, majority of them women protested against the state government on Tuesday and warned of an indefinite strike if the government did not come forward and negotiate on their demands, which include regularisation of their jobs. Besides regularisation of their jobs, the demands include a promotion, Rs. 9,000 as pension on retirement, time to time increment and filling the vacancies in the noon-meal centres across the State.
