In an unprecedented incident, mayhem erupted at the International Yoga Day venue in Rohtak, Haryana on Friday afternoon where Union Home Minister Amit Shah performed yoga asanas marking the occasion.

As per news agency ANI, chaos broke out after people looted yoga mats from the venue after the Yoga session concluded. In the video, people can be seen snatching the yoga mats from each other's hands and indulging in verbal spat.

Even as the organisers are trying to control the situation, on one hand, people can be seen looting the yoga mats while on the other hand, participants are seeing moving out of the venue in a queue.

Prior to the chaos, Home Minister Amit Shah performed yoga session at the venue along with Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar.

June 21 marks the occasion of International Yoga Day with enthusiasts across the world celebrate the exercise. On the fifth edition of International Yoga Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a grand event at Prabhat Tara ground in Ranchi.

Taking to Twitter, he shared some pictures from the grand event from the venue, saying that thousand of Yoga practitioners from all walks of life enriched the Yoga Day celebrations with their presence.
