'We denounce terrorism in all its forms', says Russia expressing solidarity with India after IED blast in Pulwama kills 44 CRPF jawans

The Russian Embassy in India on Thursday strongly condemned the attack on the 70-vehicle CRPF convoy in Pulwama district along the Jammu-Srinagar highway which martyred 37 soldiers and injured several others. 

The Embassy of Russia said in its statement that it denounces terrorism in all its forms and added that it needs to be combated without any double standards. 


The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India condemns in the strongest terms the horrific terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pulwama district,  which claimed precious lives of 37 CRPF personnel and left numerous people injured.

We denounce terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and reiterate the need to combat these inhuman acts with decisive and collective response without any double standards.

May we express sincere condolences to the grieving families of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to those injured.


USA Extends Support To India In Fight Against Terrorism After IED Blast In Jammu And Kashmir

On Thursday afternoon, an IED blast in the Pulwama district along the Jammu-Srinagar highway rocked the 70-vehicle convoy of CRPF jawans who were heading from Jammu back to Srinagar. A total of 37 CRPF jawans were martyred and several others were injured from the terror attack. Terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) claimed the responsibility for the attack.

CRPF also issed a statement following the terror attack:

  • The convoy started from Jammu around 4am. It was an Up Convoy to Srinagar. 
  • 70 vehicles were in this convoy with 2,500 CRPF personnel. 
  • Road opening party had cleared the route. 
  • The convoy had last checked in at Anantnag. 
  • A civilian car was laden with IED. 
  • CRPF DG RR Bhatnagar is returning to Delhi today evening. 
  • IG Kashmir Zulfikar Hasan is at the spot.
