After Delhi bureaucrats reiterated that they are not on strike and that they are open to formal discussions with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on the matter, Delhi’s Deputy CM has written to L-G Anil Baijal to call a meeting of elected government and IAS officers to resolve the issue. In the letter, he wrote:

“We have been sitting in your waiting room, waiting for you for 7 days now. Please call off the strike by the bureaucrats and sign the file of ration. Today, the IAS officers have expressed their wish to meet the Delhi CM. They want to talk about their safety and security. Since, safety and security comes under your purview, we want you to discuss the issues in your presence.”

Meanwhile, even as AAP continued with its ‘sleepover’ protest, L-G Anil Baijal held a meeting with the bureaucrats and government officials regarding water woes and other issues in Delhi.

AAP has been holding a sit-in protest at the L-G’s office demanding the IAS officers to call off their strike, even as the IAS Association has confirmed that they are working and there is no strike. The IAS Association also tweeted saying: "We reiterate that we continue to be at work with full dedication & vigour. We look forward to concrete interventions for our security & dignity. We are open to formal discussions with Honble CM on this matter (sic),"
