West Bengal: A Decline In Migratory Bird Species Observed In Siliguri This Winter

There was a decline observed in the presence of migratory birds in Siliguri, West Bengal this winter. Birds of different species generally fly in the first or second week of December every year in the winter season but this year saw a sharp decline in their numbers. Human disturbance is one of the main reasons for the decrease in the number of migratory species. Pollution, encroachment, etc. are some of the reasons for the change in migration patterns.
