WhatsApp: Latest updates rolled out for iPhone users

WhatsApp has rolled out some new updates for its iPhone users. Read more to know about its app updates in both Android and iPhone OS in the coming months.

Facebook bought the global messaging platform WhatsApp in 2014. Post that, it has been experimenting with many new features to add to the freeware. Recently WhatsApp added new features in its latest update in September like fingerprint authentication, ability to play the voice messages continuously, along with enhancing the security and privacy features for its users. Here are some of the latest updates that WhatsApp introduced for its iPhone users.

WhatsApp latest updates for iPhone users

  • One of the best update iOS 13 features includes sending personalized MeMoji stickers.
  • The stickers look like you and it has a number of poses to choose from. These Memoji stickers will be available on your emoji keyboard. It will be available with WhatsApp’s  2.19.100 upgrade.
  • Voice messages can be played directly from the notifications.
  • Change font styles in the camera app by tapping the ‘T’ icon.
  • Tap the doodle icon while viewing an image or video to quickly edit the media and send it to your chats.

WhatsApp updates to look out for

The Facebook-owned Instagram recently added a dark mode feature for its users and according to the latest news. WhatsApp will also offer a Dark mode/Night mode feature in the coming months. The main advantage of the dark mode is the fact that apparently it's better for the eyes especially during dim lighting and will also help your phone battery to run longer. Plus, it also makes your user interface look cooler. WhatsApp users may get these new features like multi-platform support, Google assistant support for WhatsApp calls, 'Whatsapp Web' album feature, Boomerang videos,  etc. All these features are still in testing and will be released soon.

WhatsApp updates: New interesting feature called Disappearing messages

WhatsApp is working on a 'Disappearing messages' feature, according to WeBetaInfo's report. Whatsapp submitted a new beta update for its Android beta testers. This feature will allow the users to select expiration time for their messages. For example, if you set the time as 1 hour, then whatever messages you might have sent within a group will get deleted after one hour. But this will be available only for its group setting, and not for individual messages. The feature will be rolled out for Android users first.
