Former London Mayor and Britain’s blustering Brexit campaigner Boris Johnson on Tuesday was chosen as the next Prime Minister of United Kingdom after winning a resounding mandate from the Conservative Party. US President Donald Trump took to Twitter following the development and congratulated Boris Johnson on being elected as the new PM of the UK.

Opining on Boris Johnson's victory as he joins US President Donald Trump as a head of state, Indian Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle posted a cryptic tweet on social media. In his tweet, he asked a questioned which probably the entire social media was asking at the moment.

"Trump and Johnson... who would have thought," said Bhogle in his tweet.

Trump's praise for Johnson raised quite some eyebrows in the international political discourse. Notably, Donald Trump said that Boris Johnson, who once called him unfit for the post of US President, is "a really good man is going to be the prime minister of the U.K", and described also him as “Britain Trump” in his address audience of young Republican operatives in Washington on Tuesday.

The US President's tweet has not gone down well with his critics who posted epic comments, pointing out the similarities between Trump and Johnson, specifically their hair.

Donald Trump's daughter and Advisor to the US President, Ivanka Trump also took the opportunity of congratulating the new UK Prime Minister. However, she 'accidentally' wrote 'United Kingston' instead of the United Kingdom in her tweet.

After realising her mistake and being trolled massively, she posted another tweet with the corrected spelling of United Kingdom.
