A day after the saints clearly stated: 'no more talks or compromises, either make law or bring ordinance' and announced mega conventions at three cities on the Ayodhya Ram Mandir issue, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has extended a Diwali invitation to all the seers. UP CM while addressing the media said in Hindi:
"Dipawali ki hardik subhkamna. Santo ko Ayodhya bulaya hai Diwali ke avsar par. Sabhi aayein aur Utsav main shamil ho. Saare kaam samay par shuru ho jayenge itna apko btana chahta hun (I have invited the saints to Ayodhya for Diwali. I request all of them to come and be a part of the celebration. Just want to inform that all work will begin timely)"
He also urged the people to light a ‘diya’ for Lord Ram this Diwali.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has initiated a form of campaign for the construction of the Lord Ram statue in Ayodhya. Addressing a rally in Rajasthan’s Bikaner earlier this week, Yogi Adityanath had said:
“Do light a lamp across the country in the name of Lord Ram, so that these emotions manifest in a positive way. Because work will start soon there. We have to do this with determination and this determination will help us do this work in a progressive manner. For us to make this happen, the time has finally come. We have to take this forward from Diwali onwards".

Meanwhile, the invitation comes a day after the saints who were a part of the two-day 'Sant Sammelan' in Talkatora stadium in New Delhi, announced mega conventions at three cities, namely Ayodhya, Nagpur and Bengaluru, over the next month.
Here's the schedule of the mega-conventions:
- November 25 and December 6: Conventions in Ayodhya, Nagpur and Bengaluru
- December 9: Five lakh saints to congregate in New Delhi
The Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti has also released a 'Dharmadesh' (commandment) that clearly states that 'either make law or make ordinance'.
Earlier, Art of Living founder and Ayodhya mediator Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, while addressing the 'Sant Sammelan', stated that there are three options that can be opted for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
'We have three options' to resolve the Ayodhya Dispute', he said:
- First is talk and build consensus
- Second is the Supreme Court
- The third is the government should do something on the issue
The apex court on October 29 had adjourned the matter and ordered it to be listed in the first week of January for fixing a date for the hearing. Following that, there was a huge outcry by Hindu groups demanding an ordinance to brought for Ram Mandir.
