In a huge victory for the forces, the Indian forces, on Saturday, have neutralised the three terrorists who were trapped in the BJP worker's house in Ramban, Jammu-Kashmir, as per sources.  Sources report that the worker named Vijay (Tailor) who was taken hostage in his own home, has been rescued by the forces. The joint operation conducted by the Indian Army and the J&K police has reportedly concluded and sources report that there have been no casualties in the operation. Reportedly around 5-7 hostages were rescued by the forces all five terrorists in Ramban, Srinagar, and Ganderbal have been neutralised.

Ramban operation concluded - 3 terrorists eliminated

Sources further report that earlier in the day, the forces neutralised another terrorist in Srinagar's  Nawakadal district. The Indian armed forces are currently performing a sanitation drive in the area and securing the area. Jammu-Kashmir police have informed that one Army personnel lost his life and two policemen have been injured in the operation in Batote, Ramban. Many ammunition has also been recovered by the Army after the operation was concluded.

MoS PMO expresses relief at hostage rescue

Union Minister (Mos) PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh has expressed his relief at the BJP worker's rescue. He tweeted that the worker - Vijay has been rescued by the security forces. Singh had stated that he is in contact with the Home Adviser of J&K Vijay Kumar. He added that BJP state president Ramesh Sharma is also closely monitoring the situation.

Gun battles in Ramban and Ganderbal, Jammu-Kashmir

Earlier in the day, were locked in a gunbattle with terrorists in Jammu's Ramban sector, according to sources. Sources report that the gunbattle started at 7:30 AM in the morning with Jammu-Kashmir police's special force in action. The Batote area in the district has been cordoned off and civilians have been restricted from entering the area. Sources had reported that a group of 5 terrorists were trapped in Batote town of Ramban district and locked in a gun battle with the forces. The trapped terrorists had reportedly fired on a Security team in the morning and tried to escape.

In a similar fashion, the security forces had earlier in the day, neutralised an unidentified terrorist in Trangkhal area in Ganderbal district, North Kashmir. Sources further report the area where the terrorist was gunned down is a frequent route used by infiltrators. The terrorist was gunned down in a joint operation of the IndianArmy and the Kashmir police forces, as per sources. The remaining terrorists in Srinagar and Ramban have currently been neutralised.
