Haryana crime rates have lowered according to DGP Manoj Yadava

DGP Manoj Yadava states that crimes rates have lowered in the state of Haryana assuring people that the police are actively engaged in order to prevent crime.

DGP Manoj Yadava recently notified the people of the crime rates going down in Haryana. He stated that the overall crime rates have gone down by 2.5% in the month of August compared to last year's statistics. Yadava further stated that the cases of crimes against a person have lowered by 1.2%. Whereas cases of crimes against property have also lowered by 4.2%. Assuring the people of the crime rates lowering down, the DGP informed the people of the current statistics compared to last year's numbers.

Haryana's crime rates 

The Haryana DGP stated that a total of 12,220 cases pertaining to murder, attempt to murder and kidnapping were registered in different police stations in August 2019. During the same period in 2018, 12,553 cases were reported. He added that the number of cases against a person has dropped down to 3000, which is 1.2% less than last year's number 3037. Similarly, the police have also recorded a decline of 4.2% in cases of crimes against property. Yadava stating the record of crimes committed against a person reported that the murder incidents have gone down to 97 from 105. Whereas the attempt to murder has witnessed a decline from 96 to 87.

Furthermore, Yadava stated that the number of kidnapping or abduction incidents also witnessed a decline from 388 to 386. Whereas other crimes like wrongful confinement have also seen a drop from 171 to 131, riots from 241 to 220 and voluntarily causing hurt or assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty from 121 to 77. The DGP assured that Haryana has actively been trying to reduce instances of crime in cases of burglary, theft, dacoity and snatching. 'Our police teams are regularly making a crackdown on gangsters and other criminals to prevent crime and taking effective initiatives to ensure safety and security of people in the state.' sic Yadava said in a statement.
