Karnataka Lokayukta Stabbing: Attacker's Register Entry Accessed

  • Tejaraja Sharma is said to have stabbed Justice Vishwanath Shetty with a large weapon
  • The attacker, who has been taken into custody, had allegedly entered under the pretext of reporting on corruption linked to a tender

Republic TV has accessed the reception ledger at the Karnataka Lokayukta which contains the entry of the person who stabbed Justice Vishwanath Shetty on Wednesday.

As per the register, the man entered at 12:45 pm. He entered his - Tejraja Sharma - and also provided a phone number. He wrote that he is from Tumkur. Under the field, "Whom do you wishes to see", he made an entry indicating what appears to be an office at the Ombudsman.

As per Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah, the attacker had entered under the pretext of reporting on corruption linked to a tender. 

The attacker allegedly carried a big weapon and used it to stab Vishwanath Shetty 2-3 times. Shetty is currently at Bengaluru's Mallya Hospital. His condition is said to be stable (LIVE updates here). The attacker has been taken into custody. A photo of his has been found:
