More than 48 hours after a 19-year-old girl was abducted, drugged and gang-raped in Rewari district of Haryana, the state police, under pressure from all quarters, has released the FIR, which has been filed against three accused.

The FIR has named Pankaj, Manish and Nishu as the three co-accused in the case. In the contents filed in the FIR, the phone numbers of all the three individuals were available, along with the other major details, indicating how the cops did not react on time despite having all the needed information.

Taking note of the attack and the situation which has unfolded, State Women Commission Chairman Pratibha Suman has assured of action against the culprits, and also promised action against Police should any lapses be found during their investigation.

Earlier on Friday, an FIR was filed in this case. The victim was going to her coaching centre, when two people came to meet her at a bus stand and gave her water to drink. Soon after, the girl lost consciousness, according to an FIR registered at Kanina police station. As per the lodged complaint, the accused, after committing the crime, left the victim near a bus stop in unconscious state.

The rape survivor’s mother, while speaking to Republic TV, stated that despite the accused being identified no action has been taken so far. She said, "My daughter was on her way to the coaching centre. My daughter was kidnapped. after she was abducted - she was kidnapped at 4pm from the bus stand and she was left in a drugged state. Pankaj and Manish abducted her."

"They took her to a well where there were more people. Nishu was also with them. My daughter was left in the worst possible state. Modi said 'beti bachao, beti padhao'. How do we educate them? My daughter can't go anywhere. Give justice to my daughter.  Police is asking us to go here and there. The rapists are roaming around my house. No action has been taken yet. Where should we go. Nobody is listening to us. Neither the police nor the government,” the rape survivor’s mother further added.
