Republic TV has ascertained exclusive details regarding one of the persons mentioned in the sinister letter where a plot to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been detailed.
The relevant paragraph of the letter reads: " Defeating Hindu Fascism has been our core agenda and a major concern for the party. Several leaders from the secret cells, as well as open organizations, have raised this issue very strongly. We are working to consolidate ties with the like-minded organization, pol. parties, representatives of minorities across the country. Modi led Hindu Fascist regime is bulldozing its way into the lives of indigenous Adivasis. In spite of big defeats like Bihar and West Bengal, Modi has successfully established BJP govt in more than 15 states. If this place continues then it would mean immense trouble for the party on all fronts. Greater suppression of dissent and more brutal form of Mission 2016 (OHG).Com.Kisan and few other senior comrades have proposed concrete steps to end Modi- raj. We are thinking along the lines of another Rajiv Gandhi type incident. It sounds suicidal and there is a good chance that we might fail but we feel that the party PB/CC must deliberate over our proposal. Targetting his road-shows could be an effective strategy. We collectively believe that survival of the party is supreme to all sacrifices. Rest in the next letter.''
As per Pune Police sources, Comrade Prakash, to whom the letter allegedly recovered from the laptop of Rona Wilson, who was arrested in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon caste clashes, was addressed, is the code-name of a known Maoist.
Sources say that Comrade Prakash is also known as Naveen, alias Ritupam Goswami. He is a resident of Assam and is currently absconding.
Ritupam Goswami is said to have completed his PhD from JNU and joined the underground cadre of the CPI(ML). Not only is he a cardholder of the party, but also, one of its functionaries. He was recruited by Delhi University professor GN Saibaba who is also mentioned in the letter, and has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a court in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the IPC for aiding and abetting Naxal activities.
Teams of the CBI are said to be searching for Prakash, alias Ritupam Goswami. In the letter that was addressed to him by someone who signed only as "R", there was a proposal to end Modi-raj with a "Rajiv Gandhi type incident" by "targeting his road shows".
