Forest official attacked in Telangana

A fortnight ago, in a horrific incident, a female forest range officer Anitha was attacked in Sirpur, Telangana by a mob allegedly led by party's MLA Koneru Konappa's brother Krishna.  In the visuals, it shows the mob attacking the officer who is standing atop a tractor with lathis. The security forces later come and try to bring the situation under control. Anitha had identified Krishna as the man who hit her and led the mob, and claimed that he is the brother of TRS MLA.

She had said that she was there to supervise a plantation drive for an afforestation programme. The degraded forest land was selected by Forest Department for raising of compensatory afforestation plantation for Kaleshwaram project. The official letter by the forest officer has said that few villagers of Sarsala arrived in mob and started using filthy language and also attacked Forest Range officer Anitha. It clearly mentioned Konaru Krishna who is the Chairman Zila Parishad as the one attacking the Forest officer.
