A day later, rape-accused MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar's brother Atul Singh Sengar was arrested by the Lucknow crime branch, allegedly for beating up the rape victim's father.

Before that, on Sunday, the victim had attempted to self-immolate in front of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath's residence in Lucknow alleging that she had been raped by the BJP MLA and his accomplices.
