AAP attacks Chetan Bhagat with "sweet cartoon" accusing him of doublespeak. Author fires back instantly

A tweet by the Aam Aadmi Party attacking author Chetan Bhagat and accusing him of seemingly pulling his punches with regard to his criticism of the government over prevailing fuel prices has got a response.

Taking to Twitter, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party sought to introduce a thread where it highlights the apparently bygone "times when actors, news anchor, economist and even laymen talked about how fuel prices effected our savings, hurt our economy, killed our monthly budget, etc."

The AAP's first target is the Five Point Someone author for whom it has made a cartoon:

It claims that earlier, Chetan Bhagat held the opinion that petrol prices were directly proportional to corruption under the UPA2. However, now, he's offering complex calculations that account for various extenuating circumstances, various variables and fictional maths, the cartoon claims. 

To this, Bhagat, who is an IIT-ian just like Arvind Kejriwal, has written back:

"sweet cartoon. but my views are the same - excise duty on fuel is too high - in 2010 and in 2018. under UPA or BJP. for hindus or muslims. in summer and winter. for vegetarians and non vegetarians. for dalits and non dalits. now focus on the issue and stop ur divisive thinking."
