Snubbing the Centre yet again, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhara Rao (KCR), on Tuesday has decided to skip the all-party meeting called by PM Modi on Wednesday, as per sources. On his behalf, his son and TRS working president KT Rama Rao will reportedly attend the meeting.

Talking about the futility of the all-party meeting, KCR has said that TRS would still back the Federal Front as there was no use talking to the Centre.

"What is there to discuss there? We will only maintain constitutional relations with the Centre. I still back my federal front. No use talking to Centre. Didn't even get Re 1 for the state. I have already stated that Modi runs a fascist government. It's a fact on record," he said.

Apart from KCR, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is also set to skip the all-party meeting while YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy will be attending the meeting, as per sources. Earlier on Saturday, KCR had skipped the Niti Aayog governing council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Modi has frequently spoken in favor of 'one nation-one poll', which has been pitched by the government ever since coming to power. He stated that it is the need of the hour due to a various number of issues.

"In India, elections take place almost every six months, hence I say that we should have Lok Sabha and state elections at the very same time. One election in every five years, isn't this what should happen? Shouldn't the expenditure be cut or not?," he said in his Agra rally in January.
