After Uttar Pradesh police shot apple employee dead, Akhilesh Yadav demands CM Adityanath's resignation

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has condemned the UP government after an employee of Apple Company, Vivek Tiwari, was allegedly shot dead by a police constable in Lucknow late on Friday.

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has condemned the UP government after Vivek Tiwari, an employee of Apple Company was allegedly shot dead by a police constable in Lucknow late on Friday. Mounting a scathing attack on Yogi Adityanath-led government for 'indulging into fake encounters', Akhilesh Yadav asked CM Adityanath to resign. 

"Any family which asks for inquiry in encounter, proper inquiry should take place. This particular incident cannot be shruggedoff. The government has failed. Yogi Adityanath should resign". 

Furthermore, he condemned the incident and said:

"I condemn this incident. This state govt is indulging into fake encounters only. Sitting judge should probe the matter".

Earlier on Saturday, Vivek Tiwari succumbed to his injuries while he was undergoing treatment at a hospital. An employee of Apple Company, he was allegedly shot by a police constable at Gomti Nagar area in Lucknow on September 28. As per reports, he was asked to stop his car on noticing suspicious activity.

Tiwari was subsequently taken to Lohia hospital in the city where he later succumbed to his injuries.According to police, shots fired at Tiwari after he allegedly tried to crush police constable's bike. After being hit by the bullet, the victim's car then met with an accident.

Kalpana Tiwari, wife of deceased Vivek Tiwari, asked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to take cognizance of the incident.

"Police had no right to shoot at my husband, demand UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to come here and talk to me," she said.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad informed that the investigation into the matter is underway and that actions will be taken against those found guilty.
