Reacting to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's allegations that the main accused in the Sonbhadra massacre is a Samajwadi Party worker, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday, has slammed the state government saying that the Sonbhadra incident is proof of its own failure. He added that if the Opposition was responsible for everything, then let Opposition rule.

(The government has only one answer for everything: Opposition. What all will you hide in the name of Opposition? Remove the curtain from your failures, you will know the reality! And if the Opposition is rightly responsible for everything, then let the Opposition rule! The incident of Sonbhadra is proof of your heinous failure.)

UP CM Yogi Adityanath's allegations

Earlier in the day, after visiting the affected villages in Sonbhadra -where ten people were killed over a land dispute, Adityanath alleged that the main accused in the case is a Samajwadi Party worker. He also blamed the Congress for sowing the seeds of the dispute adding that a committee will be formed to look into land dispute since 1955.

"The main accused, the village chief Yagya Dutt is a Samajwadi Party worker, his brother is in Bahujan Samaj Party," he said adding, "The root of the incident lies in 1955 when the land was given to a trust of Congress MLC. In 1989, the land was given to the members of the trust. Instead of shedding crocodile tears, Congress should apologise to the tribals as they are responsible for the incident. A new committee has been formed to look into all the land disputes pertaining to this area since 1955. We will not let anyone target the tribals."

Sonbhadra incident and Priyanka Gandhi's 'Dharna':
