As the quick and dramatic developments increase the crisis in the Congres-JD(S) government in Karnataka-led by CM Kumaraswamy, former PM and JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda has maintained to wait till Monday for the state assembly Speaker to come back and then take a decision. Speaking exclusively to Republic TV amid the drama on Saturday, Deve Gowda, who is also the father of CM Kumaraswamy, claimed that the 11 leaders who have resigned are well-wishers and loyalists of the government.
"I have already spoken very frankly. I am in my office since morning. Today is program is to prepare our self for the election of Bangalore Corporation which are in another 10 months. We are told that 11 people have resigned. Resignation letters were given to the speaker's office. Please wait until Monday. Tomorrow is Sunday. Speaker said that wait till Monday. Till the Speaker takes the decision, I do not want to react," the former PM stated.
Adding that he does not know under what circumstances the 11 ministers resigned, Deve Gowda claimed that there is no misunderstanding between the Speaker, CM and the leaders who have resigned. He also asserted that he is not much bothered about the ongoing critical situation for the government.
"All I know 11 people have resigned under what circumstances, I don't know. All are loyal to the government. there is no difference. Speaker certainly will interact with them and then what further steps he is going to take I don't know. Till then CM will also come. I think there is no misunderstanding between the speaker, CM and the people who have resigned. I am not bothered and not going to discriminate Congress or JD(S). That is not the issue. All the 11 members are my well-wishers. They are the well-wishes of the government. There is no doubt in me. Please have some patience. No plan no action," Deve Gowda added.
