Home Minister Amit Shah slammed Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party for its stance on a variety of issues of national interest. Addressing a rally at Bhiwani in Haryana, Shah said, “At the time of assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra, Rahul Gandhi has gone off on a holiday.”
The Union Minister said, “The way in which the Congress leadership is functioning, the whole party is silent for the good of a single-family. Modi Ji in a single session removed Triple Talaq, the Congress opposed it. They opposed abrogation of Article 370, surgical strikes, airstrikes, I want to ask them, in which direction are you all going?”
Speaking about Congress’ rule in Haryana, Amit Shah said, for 10 years it was under the rule of Congress, their government was in power at the Centre as well, and posed a question to the Congress leaders, "I want to ask Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Rahul Gandhi, what have you done for the development of Haryana despite your government being in power in the state as well as the centre.”
Amit Shah also slammed Congress for its mocking of the ‘Shastra Puja’ performed by Rajnath Singh on receiving India’s first-ever Rafale aircraft. He said, “Congress says what is the need for the drama of Shastra Puja, you tell me should Shastra Puja be done on the day of Vijayadashmi to defeat evil, or not? Is it not in our Indian culture? But Congress sees drama in it. It’s not their fault as they care more about the culture of Italy and value it more and they are not aware of the Indian culture.”
On Wednesday, BJP chief Amit Shah, while addressing a huge public meeting in Kaithal, Haryana, stated that the State was infamous across the country that fewer daughters are born here as compared to rest of the country. Today, the state has made the 'Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao' campaign worthwhile, he further added.
