Amit Shah met one of India's greatest Cricket captains to brief him on the Modi government's achievements. Here's who it is

BJP party president Amit Shah met with one of the most celebrated sportspersons in the history of India on Friday night, extending the list of illustrious persons he's met in the last few days as part of the 'Sampark for Samarthan' campaign to three.

BJP party president Amit Shah met with one of the most celebrated sportspersons in the history of India on Friday night, extending the list of illustrious persons he's met in the last few days as part of the 'Sampark for Samarthan' campaign to three.

The sportsperson, in this most recent case was none other than India's 1983 Cricket World Cup-winning captain and legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev!

As per photos posted by Shah on his Twitter, the pair met at Kapil Dev's quite stunningly decorated Delhi residence. Amit Shah, along with a few others, briefed Kapol Dev and his wife Romi Bhatia about the achievements of the Narendra Modi-led government over four years and presented them a brochure on the topic as well.

The BJP party president had kicked off the 'Sampark for Samarthan' (Reach-out for support) campaign by meeting India's former Chief Of Army Staff (COAS) General Dalbir Singh Suhag. He then met constitutional expert Subhash Kashyap at the latter's residence.

The 'Sampark for Samarthan' campaign envisions 4,000 BJP functionaries, including chief ministers, union ministers and panchayat leaders from all over the country contacting one lakh people who who have made achievements in their fields to tell them about the government's achievements.

As per reports, Amit Shah will personally contact at least 50 people as part of the programme.
