Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy fulfills promise to Asha Workers, increases their salary from Rs 3,000 from Rs 10,000

Days after taking charge as the chief minister of Andhra Prades, Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken an important step to increase the salary of Asha workers in the medical and health department.

Days after taking charge as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken an important step to increase the salary of Asha workers in the medical and health department. Reddy, who got a massive mandate for his party YSRCP in the Assembly elections, was on Thursday sworn in as second Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh after bifurcation and he immediately announced Rs.3,000 as pension per month for senior citizens in the state. 

The news agency ANI reported on Monday that the Redyy-led Andhra government will increase the salary of from Rs 3000 to Rs 10000. 

YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sworn-in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh at 12:23 PM on May 30 after sweeping the state with an overwhelming public mandate. Stepping into his father shoes, late YS Rajasekhara Reddy and former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh who died in a helicopter crash in 2009, a teary-eyed Jagan Mohan Reddy took the Chief Ministerial chair in the presence of over 40,000 supporters at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada. DMK chief MK Stalin and Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao were also present at his swearing-in ceremony.

In the assembly election, Reddy's YSRCP won 151 seats in the state's 175 assembly seats, by entirely whitewashing Chandrababu Naidu's TDP from the state. Taking to Twitter, Reddy had thanked the people of Andhra for giving him a chance to serve them. He also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his swearing-in on May 30.
