Days after showing the strength of unity against the BJP party in Kolkata, opposition leaders are all set to meet at a mega rally "Tanashahi Hatao, Loktantra Bachao" organized by Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Wednesday.

AAP Delhi convenor Gopal Rai confirmed that West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, National Conference (NC) leader Farooq Abdullah and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar are scheduled to attend the rally.

Leaders from the Samajwadi Party (SP), Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and other parties would also address the mega rally, he added.

As per agency reports, AAP chief has also invited Congress president Rahul Gandhi to address the rally. However, there is no formal confirmation from the opposition party chief on the same. There have been talks of an alliance between the AAP and the Congress for the Lok Sabha polls, but the local leadership of the grand old party is believed to have been against it.

The rally organized in the national capital appears to be critical of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and its chief, Amit Shah, weeks ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
