Asked Guv for more time, he took away the 9 hrs we had: NCP cries foul

Majeed Memon took to Twitter & accused the governor of Maharashtra for withdrawing NCP’s 9 hours and submitting a report seeking President's rule in the state.

NCP Member of Parliament from Rajya Sabha Majeed Memon took to Twitter on Tuesday and accused the Governor of Maharashtra for withdrawing nine hours from the NCP’s allotted time to for government formation and submitting a report seeking President's rule in the state. This came after the NCP had sought more time to stitch together the required numbers. Majeed Memon wrote that the NCP asked the Governor to give them an extra 48 hours to prove the majority and that is when the Governor without answering them submitted a report to the Centre. Moments after this the Shiv Sena decided to move the Supreme Court to challenge the Governor’s decision on denying the extra time to them on Monday.

Shiv Sena Moves to SC 

Shiv Sena moved the Supreme Court to challenge the Governor's recommendation of a President's rule in Maharashtra on Tuesday. Republic TV accessed the petition filed by Sena. The 26-page petition filed by Shiv Sena is against the Centre and has made Congress and NCP - the parties to the petition. The petition challenges the order of the Governor refusing them time to form the government. The petition also names Congress leader and senior advocate Kapil Sibal as the lawyer for Shiv Sena.
